Beaconhouse, the country’s largest private educational network, conducted the 15th edition of its flagship “School of Tomorrow” (SOT) Event Series on Saturday (5 November) and Sunday (6 November) in Lahore. The event themed “Guardians of the Future” hosted over 150 global and local thought leaders from various sectors, including education, development, healthcare, technology, and digital media, for insightful panel discussions on a multitude of topics relevant to the youth and varying factors impacting the general public.


Under the conference dimension of a ‘Peaceful Future’, a panel discussion on ‘Growing Up Safe: Preventing and Responding to Child Abuse’ was conducted. Mrs. Amina Wattoo Kasuri, a lifelong child rights activist, served as the moderator for the impactful discussion, she asked pertinent and relevant questions to explore various levels of child abuse prevention. The panel examined the dynamics of child abuse, the severity of the emotional impact and trauma on children, and how solutions may be developed to forge the path towards a safer future.
