The aim of this session was to help students keep up with the evolving trends and rapid growth of the global E-commerce industry.

Industry-Academia Linkages - A visit to BNU

Concordia Colleges organized a visit  to the School of Computer & Information Technology (SCIT) at Beaconhouse National University (BNU) to attend the Annual Projects Showcase.
The purpose of this visit was to help students learn about a variety of innovative projects spanning areas such as Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Computer Vision, Large Language Models, Mobile Apps, Web Apps, and Artificial Intelligence.

Industry-Academia Linkages - The Center of Excellence - U.E.T

The WWF Pakistan team provided an overview of WWF’s Water Stewardship and Replenishment program, which encompassed a detailed presentation on WWF’s Global Goals and Drivers, the current water crisis in Pakistan, and various water conservation initiatives undertaken by WWF in different areas of Pakistan to overcome the water shortage challenges. 

Engr. M. Awais Zafar, Lecturer UET, gave an overview of UET and the establishment of the Centre of Excellence in Water Resources Engineering (CEWRE), highlighting their collaboration with WWF-Pakistan for water replenishment initiatives.

Industry-Academia Linkages - Government Elementary College of Education

Under ‘Industry-Academia Linkages’, students of Concordia College Malir Campus, Gulistan e Johar, in collaboration with Durbeen, embarked on a journey to GECE, Hussainabad.
Students had first hand experience of the campus environment, facilities, and academic offerings, aiding in informed decision-making for prospective higher education pursuits.

Industry-Academia Linkages – State Bank of Pakistan Museum and Art Gallery

Under ‘Industry-Academia Linkages’, Concordia Colleges organised an exposure visit for students of Gulistan-e-Johar and Garden campuses in Karachi to the State Bank of Pakistan Museum and Art Gallery.
Students were educated about Pakistan’s monetary history. They also gained insights into the bank’s role in financial matters, such as banking regulations and economic policies.

Character Building Workshop was conducted for girls  at Concordia Colleges Samundri Campus to enhance the holistic development of students through engaging activities.

Inspirational talk Series – Walton Campus

Concordia Colleges organised an exposure visit for students  to the PEMRA Regional Head Office, Lahore. A speaker session by Mr. Ikram Barkat, Director General PEMRA, provided students with an overview of PEMRA’s operations and explained how it aims to improve the standards of information, education and entertainment available to the people of Pakistan.

Students were educated about Pakistan’s monetary history. They also gained insights into the bank’s role in financial matters, such as banking regulations and economic policies.

A speaker session by Mr. Waqar Nazeer, Director L&D CureMD, was conducted at Concordia College Allama Iqbal Town Campus. He provided students with an overview of the role of Content Creation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in shaping the future. The session was highly informative and inspiring for students, offering insights into emerging technologies and their potential impact on various fields.

Students were introduced to the fundamentals of football manufacturing. The visit offered the students valuable insights into the process of crafting footballs.

A speaker session by Mr. Fawad Ikram, Business Manager Knoveo Solutions, was conducted at Concordia College Canal Campus. He provided students with an overview of Knoveo Solution’s business strategy and explained how students can establish and scale-up businesses for entrepreneurial success.

Under ‘Industry-Academia Linkages’, Concordia Colleges organised an exposure visit for students from multiple campuses across Pakistan to the Army Museum Lahore in the spirit of Independence Day. Students learned valuable lessons about the sacrifices made by the Pakistan Army to protect our borders.

Concordia Colleges organized an exposure visit for students of Concordia College Kot Addu Campus. The purpose of this visit was to help students learn about the functioning of KAPCO, best practices for energy conservation, and career opportunities at KAPCO and other power companies.

A speaker session by Mr. Muhammad Asif, General Manager Sales North; Mr. Aqueel Ahmed, Plant Manager; Mr. Siddiq Bawany, Regional Sales Manager Lahore; and Mr. Mubashar Sadiq, Senior Zonal Sales Manager from Tapal Tea, was conducted for Concordia College Raiwind Campus at Tapal Tea Factory.

During the visit, Dr. Kamran Saeed, Director Research and Development LCCI, conducted a session for the students. This session gave them valuable insights into the chamber’s activities, history, operations, various aspects of commerce, business ethics, and economic development.

National Gateway Programme - BNU Annual Degree Show 2023

This exposure visit helped our students to explore different projects presented by the final year students of BNU. Our students directly interacted with the new generation of artists, designers, and creators to understand the purpose and vision behind each project.

Mr. Sarmad Hussain, Assistant General Manager / Regional Head Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, explained how the stock market works. He talked about investing in different company shares and bonds.

This visit aimed to help students gain insight into industrial processes, understand sustainable practices, and engage with industry-leading professionals from the Fatima Group.
