MRS. NASREEN MAHMUD KASURI
I am proud of the role Beaconhouse has played in setting new benchmarks in education over a period of four decades. Today the Beaconhouse group has over 286,000 full-time students in eight countries, making it one of the largest school networks in the world. Over the years, our schools have helped students become critical thinkers and problem solvers, equipping them with confidence to stand out from the crowd.
Establishing Concordia Colleges in 2014 is a testament to our resilience and our strength as a world-class education institution. We feel privileged to have played a role in the provision of quality education in this country and, equally, to have made significant progress towards the establishment of an international education brand that has its origin in Pakistan. We believe that education is the right of every child. We have therefore tried to reach out as far as we could by imparting distinctive and meaningful learning to as wide a cross section of society as possible – most visibly demonstrated, perhaps, by The Educators, our network of affordable associate schools.
As we continue to grow and evolve, each day brings with it new challenges and opportunities. I am delighted, therefore, to introduce our newest educational venture for those who seek to equip themselves to deal with the challenges of a rapidly modernising world. In this context, Concordia Colleges aim to offer world-class education, across the nation, which is both cost-effective and standardised. The Colleges is not only aiming at academic excellence but also nourishing intellectual and personal development across a range of extra and co-curricular domains.
Extracurricular activities are globally accepted as an added advantage for the grooming of students. They inculcate in students time management, team-building and problem-solving skills. I am happy that Concordia students are very actively engaged in sports and extracurricular activities and have secured positions and medals in Punjab level competitions.
In this knowledge-based age, education is undergoing rapid transformation. The emergence of increasingly affordable digital products such as smart phones, tablets and e-readers is reshaping the way we think about teaching and learning. Concordia Colleges hope to attract enterprising students and faculty who are prepared to lead a revolution in pedagogy and open up new windows of learning.
I invite you to join our community of learners and acquire the skills needed to stand proud and play a role in the future of Pakistan.
